Sleep apnea can seem like a frustrating and isolating condition, but you are not alone. Celebrities and athletes just like any average person, fight their own battles against serious conditions and diseases. Several celebrities have openly spoken out about their struggle with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Sleep apnea is a serious and life-threatening condition. OSA is typically caused by a blockage of the airway when the soft tissue in the rear of the throat collapses during sleep. Sleep apnea sufferers may stop breathing for as many as 30 (or more) times each hour while asleep. If you have any of these symptoms, we recommend you schedule an appointment with a physician. A physician may recommend a sleep study to obtain more information about your condition.
