It has been three months since we launched our Indiegogo campaign and we are currently ramping up to send out certificates and vouchers (“perks” in Indiegogo speak) as well as listing our founders on our website. The support we have received is humbling – there are over 10,000 of you who have supported our efforts! All this attention has kept us busy but we want to take time to update you on what we have been doing as well as what to expect as we continue to develop Airing.
Let’s take these in order.
Airing Moves to InDemand on Indiegogo
We are now InDemand, which simply means we reached our campaign funding goal, are continuing to accept contributions and are able to expand our community. We raised over $1,000,000, which will provide valuable momentum for our work on the proof of concept prototype.
Potential Partners
Just as important as the actual funding (maybe even more) is that your voices confirmed the passionate desire for our innovative approach to CPAP treatment. That visible enthusiasm has generated calls from several potential partners (many of which sought us out) that could accelerate our development timeline. This would not have happened without your support.
We will keep you posted on new relationships with these strategic partners as they happen.
Suppliers
We have been actively screening a wide range of manufacturing and services suppliers that can provide equipment and expertise to complement our in-house resources. Finding the right blend of outside expertise with our own expanding staff will be a critical element in our development program and remains a dynamic process.
Technical Advisory Board
We have formed a Technical Advisory Board to give us access to select experts in the field who can share their expertise and contacts to further complement our efforts. We plan to formally announce our first board member in the very near future and are thrilled that he has agreed to join our team. We think you’ll be as impressed as we are.
What You Can Do Now?
Take a minute to accept our thanks for helping us at this early stage in the development of the Airing micro-CPAP device. We hope that you will remember this moment when the device hits the market.
But as you are aware, our mission has just begin. To our contributors: you will soon receive your vouchers and certificates. Let them be a reminder of your early support and belief in this technology. We still have a long way to go to bring this device to market and into the hands of millions who suffer from sleep apnea.
